A Thriving Africa
Begins In Its Villages

The Local Village works with rural communities to turn soil, seeds, and skill into sustainable, self-led opportunity.

Local Village empowers rural African communities to lead sustainable economies through regenerative agriculture, training, and ethical market access.

Empowering Local Producers

Local Village NPC is the nonprofit arm of Local Village Africa — building regenerative economies across rural Africa. We train communities in beekeeping, agriculture, and conservation, then connect them to real markets. Our work spans 21 communities in South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, with a focus on women, youth, and people living with disabilities. It’s grassroots development, co-created and community-led.

Our Impact

We measure success by what communities build with us—and what they carry forward on their own. Our work delivers more than livelihoods: it restores ecosystems, dignifies local knowledge, and unlocks lasting rural value chains. The outcome? Regenerative economies led by the people who live closest to the land.
